I am excited to begin my 5th year as the principal of Hampton Oaks. I have 30 years of experience as an educator working in a variety of public school settings with diverse student populations. Prior to joining Hampton Oaks, I was an assistant principal at Dixon-Smith Middle School and a classroom teacher in Spotsylvania County and Loudoun County. I obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia and then went on to pursue my Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision. I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our families so we can provide the best learning environment for our students.

Mr. Joe Price, Assistant Principal

It is an incredible honor to join the Hampton Oaks Elementary community as your new Assistant Principal. I was born and raised in Western New York and have proudly called Virginia home since 2004. With over 17 years in education, I’ve served in a variety of roles—including principal designee, 504 manager, math lead, coach, and mentor—and each experience has strengthened my dedication to supporting students, staff, and families.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Potsdam and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Mary Washington. My wife teaches middle school math right here in Stafford County, and our three wonderful children also attend Stafford County Public Schools—so our roots in this community run deep.

I believe that building trust and cultivating strong, authentic relationships are the keys to a thriving school. Open and honest communication is essential, and while I may not have all the answers, I’m committed to working with you to find the best path forward—for our students, our staff, and our school.

I am thrilled to officially be a Hawk and can’t wait to take flight with this incredible school community. Please don’t hesitate to say hello when you see me—I look forward to learning, growing, and celebrating all that makes Hampton Oaks so special.
